FOOTNOTES:
I recently watched the brilliant and exquisite anime series Haibane-Renmei,
distributed in the US by Pioneer, and the incredible art style
absolutely sang to me. I was utterly inspired by the more mature look
of the characters. This has driven me to try something a little new
with the way I draw Pastel Defender Heliotrope, and this painting is
an attempt towards that goal. I really wish I could draw a lot better
than I seem to be able to do. I always feel very inadaquate as an
artist. In any case, I am going to see if I can improve my art a bit more.
