PAGE FOOTNOTES: Saffs and Hadrians are the names that Pastellian culture gives to homosexual women and men, respectively. The basis of this belief is that homosexuals cannot reproduce. This is not strictly true, the technology of the Pastellians is very advanced, and can go beyond mere surrogate parenting options; it is possible to take the genetic material of any two individuals, mix them using technological means, and create a viable embryo from the result. However, this does not in any way seem to stop the problem of rampant Hadriphobia in the culture.
