Just A Sketch Of A Man

PAGE FOOTNOTES:  Dr. Hannya Nakimono is a professor of biochemistry with a secondary degree in advanced mathematics at
the Chatoyant Sciences Academy. She is best known, however, for her breakthrough work with native plant life.
She is a little bit of a rebel, at least as far as her father is concerned, and is known for spontaneous acts of whimsey.
One time, she had a huge glass model of a Monogurui Jar -a famous mathematical construct called a 'Kline Bottle' in
earthly English- constructed and filled it with beer for the annual Department Party, then sat back to laugh as the other
mathematicians tried to work out how to pour from the impossible container. They still talk about that one.

Hannya shares her father's love of growing plants, but her garden is not filled with orchids, but rather plants native to
the cosmos of Pastel. She has a deep fascination with the life forms that predated the arrival of the humans in Pastel.
She is the first person who was ever able to grow the native epiphytic Cloud Harp indoors! Hannya is a patient,
determined, brilliant and accomplished person. She regularly corrects the errors in her father's equations when he
isn't looking.
